Daily Hair + Luxy Hair Extensions Review

I like to use my extensions for as long as possible so that I don't have to buy new ones too soon. I try to avoid styling them with heated appliances as much as I can, but I REALLY love wavy and curly hair. So, I twist my extensions into three pieces or twist them all together over night!

I curl my real hair, run my fingers through it, flip my head down, then set my hair with hair spray. After that, I undo my extensions, run my fingers through them, and clip them in!

Pretty easy and fast process!

I use a 1-1/4" barrel which looks better when I twist all my extensions into one because it creates looser curls/waves. A smaller barrel would make better curls for when I twist my extensions into three pieces but I only have one barrel right now x]

In all these pictures I'm using Luxy Hair Extensions.

(I bought these on my own accord and this review is strictly on my own experiences.)

I used to use the extensions as Sally's Beauty supply. The only pros I have for those are that they were affordable and they're great for last minute hair style. Such as for a photo shoot or if you need a little extra length or thickness to your hair for an event.

When it comes to Luxies, they're pricier than the ones from Sally's but it's still affordable and long lasting considering they're hair extensions. They're soft, they're 20" long, they don't tangle very easily even after months of wear, the clips are already sewn in and they're comfortable, and it's a full set. They also offer two choices of sets. One for Fine to Medium Hair Types, 120g for $119.95, the other for Medium to Thich Hair Types, 160g for $139.95 and no shipping :]

They also have a good variety of natural colors to choose from. If you're uncertain of which one to pick, their FaceBook page is very friendly and they will offer suggestions of what to pick and what color you may need to dye them if it's slightly off.

The extensions come in one length so you'll have to get them cut if you want them to transition with your hair better. I keep the length because I like the style and look for myself but most people get their Luxies layered so it looks natural.

Below is Ash Blonde and Vibrant Auburn, both 160g because I like having LOTS of hair. The only problem is that I like to use the entire set and it flattens my hair. Oh wellz.

The packaging is very simple and it comes with a sample/tester in the smaller part of the package and two extra clips just in case :]

The blonde in the pictures is a nice lighter blonde but it's definitely not white, nor is it too yellow.

The auburn is beautiful in person. I got SO many compliments on it, but barely any photos I've ever taken does it any justice!

So, I definitely recommend these extensions!

Extensions are also great for people who want to grow out their hair and they're wearable for short hair that's at least 4 inches long. It keeps you from cutting your hair if you get those kind of urges or if you just like having thick, long, doll-like hair :]

Nose Contouring Tutorial

My first makeup video! Kind of!

This was really awkward for me to do so I didn't talk x] I'm not used to making videos but this has been requested many times in the past before and I figured I'd just go ahead and do it. It's harder to do a picture tutorial with this. It's just better to watch and I've made a few notes below the bottom of the video. Sorry it's not pro or anything x]

In the beginning I was showing off my naked nose! Without contouring it doesn't have much depth or structure. The purpose of contouring the nose is to make it more defined, to give it depth, and to make it appear slimmer. Some people really don't need to do this because their nose already has all those qualities, though anyone can contour their nose for pictures (bright lights can wash out the depth of your face), cosplay, or more for distinct looks.

(My palette is messy cause it was dropped and ruined x[ )

(I used the inside camera of my iPhone4S.

If I do another video I'll use the outside camera!)

What You Need

- matte powder 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin tone

- round flat makeup brush

- blending brush

- makeup powder in your skin tone color

- powder foundation brush

The darker the powder, the more depth you create from the front the front of your face but from the side it may look fake. So start off light and build up the makeup, checking from different angles so you don't go too dark. (In this video I actually did it too dark but it's probably for the best so what I'm doing is visible. My every day look isn't as heavy.)
Start on the outside of the tip of your nose and make a faint line to make an outline for the shape you want. This will take practice because everyone's face is different and you need to figure out what will frame your face nicely.
Build up the powder from the line, to the outer nose. To blend it in, use a blending brush. Try to avoid using your fingers (like me xD) so that it's actually smooth. Oils from your hands or your nose can make things messy.
To set it in use a foundation brush to apply the makeup powder. This will also dull the color down a bit so it's not as drastic and will look more natural.
Some people use a highlighter down their nose to make it look longer and to appear as if the nose comes out a little more but I don't do it myself. If you'd like to try that use 1 or 2 shades lighter than your skin tone.

My nose is very bulbous on the tip and on the sides so I don't really get a smooth contouring. This will be for most people who have more shape to their nose versus people who have more basic/flat shapes. I try to work against my natural shape than with it, so to be honest, I'm still practicing myself! But I've improved a lot since I started :]

This was two birthdays ago!

Seems I improved my makeup skills in general as well :3

Like I pointed out, I did it too dark but see how the brightness of the light takes out the depth of my face? But because I contoured my nose too dark you can still see the shape I created. It's a little too defined for my taste but it's great for cosplaying and costume makeup :]

It's very simple but still very pink x] I might tinker with things a little more though. I'm just feeing lazy now, haha! But it's much easier on the eyes :3

Just to take a quick break from reviews x]

One of my first inspirations to go back to pink hair was Mimi from Digimon! Haha!

I wound up dying my hair darker by accident but I probably would have preferred it this way.

My hair is actually a hot pink salmon color cause I mixed hot pink and a bit of green together to dull out the magenta because I prefer red/pinks. Using red would be too strong but as you can see in pictures it picks up as hot pink.

My husband got me a Rabito case for my iPhone :3

The tail attaches with a suction cup. It's so cute!

It definitely makes it easier for me to take pictures.

I also got a cute skull shirt from ebay :D

It's long enough to be a dress on me though.

I'm looking at this dress as my next buy :D

I think it'd look cute with my hair ; 3;

So far I've only worn my hair down because I'm obsessed with seeing it.

I also had to cut it to my shoulders again because the process of going back to this color would have been too harsh for the ends of my hair to handle.

I've definitely gone through some changes in the past couple years.

Not just my hair either! My style and I lost some weight too!

It's really fun looking through old pictures :3

My highest weight was 128lbs and I've reached 108lbs :D

When I reach my goal weight I'll make a weight loss post.

And as much as I love my current layout I'll be changing it soon.

I'm going to approach something a bit more mature and maybe more simple.

It'll be inspired off of my Mucha calendar last year and my Victorian calendar for this year.

It'll still be very colorful though because I love my colors x]

But it'll be easier on the eyes and hopefully aesthetically pleasing :]

I'm gonna rethink what kind of blog this is too. I mostly do reviews. I don't really have much motivation to do tutorials or looks and whatever. I wish I could do more but I'd be forcing myself and I wouldn't be giving my all. I want this to be a happy place for me. I don't want to promise things I can't do, which I've done and it makes me feel guilty x ____x Don't want that this year!

Anyways...

Shinny Green Circle Lens Sponsored Review and Older Shinny Brown Review

I was contacted by Shoppingholics with an opportunity to review a couple of their products! I requested for a pair of Shinny Green circle lenses and they also sent me another product, Dr. Herba Collagen Essence.

(I didn't take a comparison picture with the green!

But this is from the same series but in blue!)

Color/Pattern - 5/5

The color is vibrant and visible on dark brown eyes like mine and the pattern imitates a real iris. The center has a yellow-ish color but as you can see, the green overrides any yellow tones and is a pure green color. There's no hint of blue or brown, as you can see by comparing the Shinny Aqua! It's a distinct, beautiful green! This is the first time I've worn green contacts and I can't be any more happy with these! I've seen a lot of different reviews for different green contacts and many people have a hard time finding a perfect green lens because it's either a weird color or it doesn't show up well, but this, this is just beauuutiful!

Enlargement - 5/5

I have big eyes so they may not look as enlarged on me but trust me, they'll definitely take up a lot of space! They visibly look large on me, but for people with smaller eyes than mine, 14.5mm is big enough! I've actually been wanting to downsize to 14.2mm which will be big enough to cover my iris. The contacts I'm prescribed when wearing clear contacts are at 14.5mm to cover well. So keep in mind if you do or don't want enlargement, but the color and pattern of these would be worth it either way :3

Comfort - 5/5

Well, I've got 4 pairs of Shinny/Puffy 3 Tone so I can only say they're my favorite and most comfortable aside my Gossip Greys which are pretty much the same comfort level. I can wear them for hours without using eye drops. They're well hydrated and they're not too thick. Not much to say other than I wear them all the time. I wear this series more than any of the others I have :]

Overall - 5/5

I LOVE THE SHINNY/PUFFY 3 TONE SERIES.

I've got Green, Blue, Brown, and Grey. The grey is my husband's though, as his first lens in general. Aside from getting it into his eyes, he said they were really comfortable and he couldn't feel them after a bit and they enlarged his eyes as well :] I can't wait to get my next color from them! My blues are about to expire in a few more months so I think I'll go for Hazel or Purple when those are gone and see how I like those, which I probably will xD Thus far, my favorites are the Brown and Green!

As a side note, I used my new iPhone4S to take these pictures. I'm so thrilled about the quality it displays! It's incredible! Below is a bigger picture and you can see all the detail when it's focused x ___x It's cuhrazy. Don't mind me, I'm just thrilled xD

As for the other product they sent me. I think it's way too early to make a fair assessment on it!

And while I'm at it, here's the review for my brown lenses!

I had the pictures stored away and decided to just go ahead and put them together. These were NOT sponsored. I bought these at PinkyParadise last year.

Color/Pattern - 5/5

This is my favorite natural lens and brown lens I've ever owned. I've had Dollyeye Brown and Max Pure Brown, and now Puffy 3 Tone Brown! Those three lenses are very different in pattern and color. Out of all of them, this is the most natural pattern and design and has the loveliest color. I really love the reddish color in the center of the lens. It gives it character and depth. I've actually had someone tell me my eyes look like marble :3 These lenses looked GREAT with my auburn/brown hair.

Enlargement - 5/5

As I've said above, these will fill up your eyes! Don't be fooled by my big eyes xD I've got a huge head so all my features are just as big . ____."

Comfort - 5/5

I wear these ones most out of any of my lenses and they are terrific!

Overall - 5/5

Once again, I LOVE this series. I have no complaints of any that I've had!

L'Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair Only Review

This products definitely lifts my black hair, which is wonderful. It kept my hair nice and shiny because it wasn't bleached. I tried three different shades. I believe they were Intense Red to completely get rid of the green hair I had, Deep Auburn Red to see if they'd match my Auburn Luxy Extensions, and Copper Red to see if they'd match my extensions better. I had different results with each.

The Intense Red worked the best out of all the ones I tried. The pictures above are the results of this dye. I followed the instructions and got the results I needed which was to completely mute the green out of my hair. Also, as you can see, my black roots turned into a nice dark red color but is still very shiny and soft!

The next color, Deep Auburn Red, wasn't as impressive. It only lightly lifted my black hair to a very deep red/brown. There wasn't a huge difference but at the very least it made the transition of color in my hair look nice. Here's how it looked below.

Now the Copper Red, I had a pretty horrible experience with that one.

I thought my head was getting sensitive to hair products because the moment this dye touched my head, it had this weird minty/burning feeling. I had to TOUGH it out to keep it in my hair for the time it needed to develop and in the end, it was just like the Deep Auburn Red but darker. It didn't lift as much as I wanted. So I was pretty disappointed but I was glad it was at least out of my hair. I was not a happy camper though.

However, I recently bleached my hair to go back to pink hair and it didn't burn or anything. So, I don't know what's in the ingredients or what in the Copper Red but if I ever go back to auburn I am NEVER using that one again.

So make sure you do test patches when you use any hair color lifting products.

This is the first time I've ever had such a horrible experience with hair dying products x ___x

Otherwise, this is a great alternative to bleach and you skip the step of dying it. One tube was enough to touch up my roots if it was under an inch long. They only have natural colors in red, blondes, and browns. I haven't tried the blondes or browns so I don't know how well they would work. I'm sure the brown works great but I've no say on the blonde.

Jumily Lash Review: 1, 3, and 5

Was looking through some files and forgot I had these!

At the very least I'll make a review from the pictures I do have.

I purchased these lashes from PinkyParadise.

They have a wide range of brands for false lashes!

I picked these three because Maiko is one of my favorite models and I love her look, so I had to try them! A friend of mine ordered the No.04. Check out her review here.

Jumily False Eyelashes No.01

I really loved these lashes but they were VERY fragile and thin. They were warped and disheveled the fastest. They were lovely, natural, and feathery though. I found similar looking lashes at Sally's Beauty Supply. I may try those to see if this style of lashes are just fragile in general. I wore these more than the others. That's probably another reason why they were the first to go! Haha!

When I had them I didn't take many pictures because my camera just didn't do them any justice. If you search for some pictures of Takahashi Maiko, this is one of the lashes she wears often and I can understand why :] They give enough depth even for taking pictures, but aren't exaggerated and can be worn during the day and night.

Pros: natural, beautiful

Cons: weak, fragile.

Jumily False Eyelashes No.03

Loved these lashes too! It's a great in between for natural and exaggerated. It's thick and long enough to make an expression but the pattern is natural enough to not look heavy. But as the No.01, these were also weak and fragile but not as bad. These lasted longer.

Can I say I loved these too? LOL. I take hard consideration of things I buy online so I better love them! They're easy to lose though since they're tiny and are in pieces. That's pretty much my only complaint with them. I really liked wearing bottom lashes because my real bottom lashes are thin.

No lashes. Just liner and mascara. Very thin lashes!

Since I like definition, putting on lashes is just the key. Though I only like wearing Jumily No.05 with Dolly Wink #8 Pure Little because it transitions better for the way I like to do makeup on my eye shape.

So get this. My camera fell off my bed and broke, yaaaaaaaaay!

That was a few days ago. When I turn it on, it says turn off and turn back on. It doesn't even focus anymore, it's blurry on the screen. So, it's useless now.

This week is going to be hectic because my sister's wedding is this saturday. The groom already flew in last night and one of the bridesmaids is here from a few states away. We're playing host to both of them at our house so we're all running around doing last minute things and making last minute things and blah blah blah. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll be able to start blogging again a bit more regularly. I say at the end of this month because I just don't know if I'll get a proper replacement for my camera soon.

Sucks too cause that means I can't take pictures during the week and shiz and I really like capturing the moment for my sister.

Oh, well. They do have a professional photographer anyways and there will be so many people with their own cameras. I just like that part too.

So, yeah. I know I got a bunch of stuff that I've been promising but that's just gonna have to wait. I should at least be able to have some pictures from the wedding.

Here's my dress tailored by the way :3 Fits perfect now, yaaaay!

I even have a little train because there was so much cloth to work with xDDD

And see how huge my head looks? LOLOLOL.

I'm probably gonna do my hair ish to this with a couple white flowers and some of my hair down.

I'll at least separate me from the other bridesmaids, especially my little train :3

Oh, yeah! And here, I drew something for Halloween since I didn't do anything.

Just to insert more random stuff, here's my makeup during the day a couple days ago and then at night with no makeup when hubs and I went out for dinner. I love makeup but I honestly can't stand to wear it all day. When I get home I have to take it off x ____x I'm glad someone told me that I had nice skin in person before I started putting on my foundation cause I never really knew xD I thought my skin was kinda roughed up from wearing makeup for so many years but apparently I take pretty good care of it :3 Yaaay!

Haven't really posted hubs enough ♥

Aaaaand, here's a picture of me on Santa's lap because no one else would do it and he kept patting his thighs to get someone to sit . ____. Do you see how uncomfortable I look? LOL.

Glitter Peep Toe T-strap Platform Shoes and Gold Single Flare High Polish Steel Plugs

Ordered these shoes from GoJane.com for my sister's wedding coming up on November 12th!

Her colors are champagne and these were the perfect shade ♥

I guess they're knocks offs of Jeffrey Campbell's Foxy,

but I'm very happy with mine since they were exactly what I needed and it was affordable!

It's definitely on my wish list to purchase a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes, or maybe several, LOL. Chunky types shoes have been a favorite of mine since I was a child (probably because I've always been the shortest xD) so it's natural for me to gravitate towards them.

They have a good range of sizes and also have "Pewter" in stock, which is a silver/grey.

I'm definitely in LOOOOOVE with these shoes ♥ I wanted to get something I would still wear constantly after the wedding. These can be fancy or casual (to me at least). The heel is 5.25" which is what I was aiming for because one of the bridesmaids is about 5'10" and us girls would have looked really unbalanced xD

The slant isn't too steep either since the platform is about 2 inches or so. They're very comfortable to wear even after a few hours of walking around barefoot.

I did read the reviews before purchasing and they said it's true to size. Maybe one said it's a little big but I went ahead and ordered them in 6.5 but when I tried them on, they were hecka loose (I would have shown a picture without socks but my toes freak me out xD and you can see it's fairly spacious in the picture below). My sister is a size 7 and she could wear these, so maybe get a size smaller. However, I've been wearing them okay because of the strap. They keep my feet in and maybe they're more comfortable due to the fact that I have more room in them. I don't quite know.

Also, after I got these shoes I went to a few different shoe stores to see what size my feet were because I was really confused xD Turns out my feet got smaller anyways. So I fit between 5.5 to 6 depending on the brand.

That's one of the things that suck about ordering things online. You never know what you're gonna get. Either way, I am happy with them even if it's a size or two too big. Like I said, they're comfy even without socks. The strap doesn't even dig into my skin. There are 2 or 3 holes. I couldn't tell. It's like it didn't get punctured through completely so I had to force in 2 holes to make the strap tighter if need be. It didn't seem to hurt the shoe though.

Another thing I love about these shoes is the front, how it has that angle to walk more comfortably instead of walking like a spider xD That's one of the things that drive me nuts about some high heels. The front is flat, so I can't walk very casually. It's that "high heel walk" that some women do xDDD

I've worn these out plenty of times already to break them in but they were comfortable right off the bat. I just need to make sure I don't misstep or this'll be me:

The shipping was fast and the way they came in the mail was in the shoe box but the shoe box was just inside a plastic bag so I think they got beat up a little. Inside the box, they weren't wrapped individually so it caused them to rub against each other and the glittery was coming off. I don't think all the glitter will come off though. I think that'll take some time if that'd even happen.

Along with the heels, I got new plugs from Painful Pleasures. Not only for the wedding but because I lost one of my old ones when I went for a jog outside xD I didn't take them out and one just popped out into someone's lawn. I went back twice to look for it and it was lost to the grass forever. I like these better anyways :3 They have a better balance of weight even for single flares. They're much more beautiful in person than in pictures too.

I've ordered from Painful Pleasures before and they're always quick with shipping and have good customer service :3 Not sure if their prices are good compared to other sites though. I don't buy a lot of body jewelry.

My ears are stretched up to 7/14 though I'll probably stretch them to 1/2 at some point.

Oh, and I've already broken the o-rings, LOL. The black rubber rings at the bottom. But they stay in well because of the balanced weight.

(For some odd reason, I've always been insecure about my ears since I was younger . ___.' So I had to wear my earcuff to make things look prettier, LOL. I love how it matches so well :3 Don't forget to check out These Pretty Things where I got the earcuff from!)

I am the Matron of Honour but we're all wearing the same dress. I still need to figure out how I'm going to differentiate from the other girls without over doing it. Not like I'd be able to tred on my sister's tracks, she's gonna look absolutely outstanding, but I just don't want to wear something she doesn't like. The shoes I was originally going to get didn't appeal to her and it bothered me too much to get them. I'm pretty positive I'm happier with the shoes I got anyways :3

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my hair too. My sister will have her hair down in curls, cascading over both shoulders so I can do my normal hair style. This dress makes my short neck look even shorter xD So I'm uncomfortable having my hair up. I just need to keep thinking and looking around for what styles to do.

Pretty Crystal Pink/i.Fairy Super Crystal Pink Review!

SURPRISE.

Color/Pattern: 4/5
The color is noticeable, even under dim light. It ranges from a red hue to a pink hue on my dark brown eyes. Reddish on the brown, pink on the white of my eyes. They're definitely NOT natural looking. Very "vampiric" and eye catching. Makes people stop for a second when they look at my eyes with these lenses! I wasn't looking for any specific hue when getting these. I was just plain curious of what they'd look like. If you want something super bright, these probably won't due. They're subtle in a sense versus some other pink lenses that just pop out like high lighters.
As for the pattern, I'm not thrilled nor disappointed. However, I do think, the pattern looks wonderful when it compliments your eye color. For example, I originally wanted the brown because it would have blended in with my eyes better and would really give that crystal-like illusion. Pink is kinda hard to get that illusion unless you've got lighter eyes. The pixels are very opaque though, so there won't be any disappointment in color.

Enlargement: 5/5
These are the first 15.0mm lenses I've ever worn and they really are HUGE. As I've said in my other reviews, my eyes are big to begin with so I don't have a hard time getting these in but I've read from other people's reviews on 15.0mm lenses that some have a hard time getting these in because of how small their eyes are (mainly people with monolids). So, if you're new to lenses and want enlargement, try 14.2mm before you move up and waste money on a pair of lenses you can't even wear. If you wear clear contacts already, look at the box and see how big your lenses are to guesstimate what you can handle.
Anywaaays, I took a picture of these pink lenses with my Puffy 3 Tone Blue lenses for comparison and you can definitely see the difference.

Comfort: 3.5/5
Even though these are big, I really don't feel them when I put them in and these are okay for a few hours but I think since they're bigger, they dry out my eyes faster. I tend to need to use drops in about 4 hours. Though I did use a new contact solution called Biotrue and it's extended my contact wear for a couple hours longer. I haven't tried these contacts with that solution yet so I can't say if it'd help or not. Though only certain contact solutions work best with certain people, so I'd suggest trying out different brands to find one that comforts your eyes the best. For me, it's Biotrue! After that would be Renu.

Over All: 4/5
These are great for costuming and for daily if you like this kind of look but it does lack in comfort. It's not horrible comfort, but be ready with eye drops if you'll be wearing it out for long. They definitely don't give a soft, doll like look either because of the color. These are for a stronger appearance.

Hey, everyone!

Say hello to 13-year-old me!

(And in the second picture is my ex :OOOO)

Since I was 10 or so, I didn't have much confidence or self worth. I never wanted to believe that at about that age kids start to go through this angry "angsty" faze but I definitely did, and I was miserable. I'm glad I got out of it but it could of been worse, especially if I didn't have my friends, my faith, or my sister.

Things took a wonderful turn when I entered high school :D

When I met Norris (my husband now), I still looked like I did in the pictures above. I don't know what he liked about me, but he just thought I was awesome. Looks, personality, and beliefs. I also had a lot of issues emotionally and mentally, and for whatever reason, he just stuck around. He sincerely wanted to help me. He was always there for me as much as he could be at our age then.

I still don't understand to this day why he stayed with me, or why he's still with me, but his love has only grown more and more over the years we've been together.

With his help, I've been able to grow and develop into the person I am now. He's been a huge part of my motivation to better myself mentally, physically, and emotionally. I thank God every day for putting him in my life ♥

As much as I love him, this post isn't about us and our past! xD

This post is about the development of my image throughout the years.

Let's start!

After I got together with Norris, I cut my hair a few months later and that's when I started experimenting with my hair. Before then, my hair was down to my lower back with blonde tips. You could say it looked like the current hair trend with the dip dyes, haha. I was trending early before I knew it xDDD

This is generally how I looked through out high school. No real definition of style. I just wore what I wanted and did whatever I wanted with my hair. My belief back then was it didn't matter what anyone else thought of me. Young or old. I was in my youth and I could wear anything I want that makes me happy and look however I want because I can. What mistakes can there be? Embarrassment in the future? At least I was happy and I had fun.

I didn't let anyone get in the way of my happiness (style wise). To me, it was a waste of energy to feel embarrassed or unsure of how I looked. If I liked it, I liked it. I was in my own little world, I had good friends, I had good grades (except for math Dx), and I just went with the flow of high school.

I even cut my own hair and dyed my own hair. Reconstructed some clothes myself too. I was very open with expressing myself through my looks. I don't think it was executed very well looking back though, hahah xD But I really wouldn't take any of it back. I enjoy looking at these pictures and remember that I had no real turmoil in my life.

I also didn't really think about my weight much either. I did want to lose weight but I was too preoccupied with high school stuff to really think about it. Though you can see in the top left picture I was a small chubbers. The pictures where I'm kind of smaller is towards the end of high school in my Senior year.

In Senior year and after I graduated, my style became more defined. I also cut my hair short again. At the end of high school my hair was down to my mid back and then I think a few days after I graduated or something, I chopped it all off. That later introduced me to dying my hair completely, which I hadn't done yet. I think I was a little scared of what it would do to my hair if I bleached it all. My first hair colors were actually green, yellow, and pink all together :3 I was like a watermelon. It was a huge change so I was a little insecure but I got over it quickly and started jumping to new colors.

The first set of extensions I ever wore were actually only two pieces for each side of my hair. The pictures with dark blue hair and green/yellow ends. After that I went through the rainbow, literally, until I decided that I wanted to try a more mature look. I had done this crazy colorful look for so many years, I wanted to try something different and I felt that I had to start look more "age appropriate". I was going through another weird phase, a "growing up" phase.

I ate, A LOT. I had dinner almost every night for two or even three people. Le sigh.

It was so GOOD though ; ____; FOOOOOOOD.

Anywho, this was also the time when Norris and I set an actual date to get married! We were engaged since April 1st '07 and our wedding was in April 1st '10. Thus April Fool Romance for those of you who didn't know. He also asked me out on April Fools day in '04 :]

But yeah, since we were getting ready for the wedding and such, I decided to go quite traditional. Which is honestly strange cause of how I presented myself for so many years. People would of thought I'd have bright pink hair or something. But no, since we didn't have a wedding planner and I didn't really know how weddings went, I just went straight up traditional just to make things easier.

I quite enjoyed having long black hair again too. It did make me feel more mature and it made me look more asian xD I did want to lose weight before the wedding but I turned out gaining weight instead because I chose food over looks . ____. LOL

It's a good before and after now xD

I actually went back to that tailor recently because my sister's getting married soon :3 And he didn't even recognize me. She was like, "Are you Filipino?" I looked at her strange because she forgot about me, "Uh, you did my dress 0 .o'" LOL She was all, "Oh my gosh!" When she realized xD "You're beautiful! You lost weight!"

I was quite miserable about my weight back then. I had days where I was confident, then there were days that were just awful. Most of the time it was a mental battle and the realization that I wasn't treating my body right. Also, my environment was causing stress. So anything that made me any bit happy, I was all in it. Not the best way to go all the time, but I was really cornered back then.

Norris made sure to make me feel beautiful though. He's so lovely ♥

It really didn't matter to him how much weight I gained or lost, he always thought I was gorgeous.

Oh, and he picked out my dress by the way :3 We do everything together ♥

Anywho, other than my hair, my style was more mature and "natural" as well. It wasn't as bright or as layered. I think I felt like I wanted people to look at me more like an adult rather than a 16-year-old. Which people still think I am sometimes Dx'

I think I had about a year of this style just to maintain myself till the wedding.

Just a short month after the wedding, maybe even less, I went to a salon and cut my hair really short. I think I cut my hair really short when there's a new chapter in my life or something. Seems to look it.

It was all natural black hair. Something I hadn't seen in a long time. I kept my hair black for a year or something, which is cuhrazy. I haven't kept my hair one color since middle school. And of course, I had to do something I hadn't done before which was silver hair! :D I really liked it but it was tough to keep up so I went back to natural colors pretty quickly.

You can also see in the second silver haired picture, that's probably the chubbiest I've ever looked in my pictures . ____. That belt was pretty fitted even for a waist belt but now it's comfortable :3

You can see a gradual weight loss through these pictures. I think I'm at my smallest now or at least back to the smallest I was before. I really can't tell though. Unfortunately, when I look in the mirror, I can't tell if what I'm seeing is real or not. So I don't know if I'm bigger or smaller. I've had quite a mental battle with my body that I'm still trying to figure out though I'm working on being healthy firstly.

Anyways, after going back to natural, I couldn't handle it and wanted to come back with the bright colors. I felt boring and I felt bored too. I always wanted to do all pink hair, so I did that for my birthday in 2010 :D I kept that hair for 6 months! Which is still a record for me for unnatural colored hair. After that, I went orange for only a month or two, which quickly turned to green. I really loved the green hair.

When I started dying my hair again, I actually started getting into gyaru fashion so my outfits were more structured. After my interests toned down, I wanted to go back doing my own thing instead of being influenced by a trend. I mean, I still look trendy but I really just choose what I want to buy and wear now. So it's a little bit of both.

The only thing that backfired with following a gyaru fashion was the pressure. My only inspiration were japanese models which are very, very skinny and tiny and I felt like I wasn't able to look like them otherwise. They were pretty much perfection to me. Face, body, style. I was so consumed at one point that all I could think about was losing weight, getting a nose job, and what piece of clothing to get next.

Once again, I was back and forth with my confidence. Some days were awesome, some days I just looked disgusting to myself. Fat here, fat there. Even though fat isn't the enemy, but when your motivation is a tiny japanese model, imperfection is easy to point out on yourself :\

I gradually left that mentality, quite recently too. Only for the past few months have I been able to release myself from the desire of wanting to be "perfect". This is my body, this is my face. I dictate what I do with it, but there's more to life than looks. I am in my youth and I want to enjoy it's benefits, but I want to enjoy all aspects. I want to be able to enjoy the foods I want, wear what I want with confidence (not by how tiny my waist should be), and love myself as I am. I can only change so much of me, but I don't want to do it at the cost of my happiness and health.

With my struggle with weight, I've had to remind myself that it's not my job to be skinny. For some people, five pounds can cost them their job or not being toned enough or strong enough. I'm glad that's not my job because that would stress me out too much. My only jobs are to be a good wife and work hard at what I do. Looks is just something for me and me alone. If I want to lose weight, I have to really work hard at it and not just complain or look at healthy food.

That is one of the things I've learned as I grew up too. Happiness and health should always be on top of my list of priorities. If I'm not happy, I'm not healthy. If I'm not healthy, I'm not happy. They're hand in hand to me and probably for most people. When you're not healthy, your body doesn't give you it's best. When you're not happy, you can treat your body rather poorly.

Okay, so let's look at the difference from when I was 13 and what I look like now at 22!

Ta-da! I love looking at before and afters. It reminds me of what I had to go through. Perhaps another time I'll go in depth with my emotional and mental struggles so others can understand more of why my changes mean so much to me.

One of the reasons why I like to share this part of my past is to expose some realities as well.

You don't need to be flawless, skinny, curvy, fashion forward, or anything you think is "perfection" in order for someone to find you attractive, amazing, and worthwhile. Look at me when I was 13! :D LOL.
Love and compassion is for everyone. Not just for those who are "mentally stable". I mean, who is all the time anyways?
Being yourself is the best way to go.
Even if someone may look pretty or put together, they're human too and they have their own battles that you may not understand.
We all have different capacities of progression, understanding, patience, strength, and willingness.
Just because you think someone may look "nerdy" or "worthless" doesn't mean they are or will be in the future.
Everyone has a past, everyone has a story. People are bitter, happy, sad, angry, etc. for a reason.
Change can happen for anyone.

Feathered Ear Cuff from These Pretty Things

I've been in a slump where I just don't want to do anything. So I've been neglecting my blog . ___.

I'm trying to get myself to kick my ass into gear here by showing you guys the ear cuff that These Pretty Things sent to me!

I've worn it out a few times already just to get a real feel for it and so far, it's become a staple for my look :3 The only problem I've had with it is when it's really windy. I had to keep my hand on my ear all the time in order to keep it in place xD And it's best to have your hair pinned or up if you're going to wear it or it gets swooped with your hair, if you play with your hair a lot, like me x3

I also had to bend the base to fit my right ear instead of my left. I think it was made for the left ear but I prefer wearing it on my right. I'm glad the material is bendable enough for me to fit it to both ears. The feathers are nice and secure too. None of them have fallen out even in the harsh wind :b

And once again, I've changed my mind about what colors I want xDDDD

I started asking a few friends what color to go next just to get see what others might have to say out of curiosity and my sister said purple. So I started messing around with different shades. Living in Florida, it makes sense xD Tan, silver haired, short, older person. They can be found here. So I was thinking of doing it with pink tips to throw people off? Dunno. Either way, now I'm gung-ho about this mauve/lavender color xD

HANA Professional 1.5" Flat Iron Sponsored Review

As I have been saying for awhile now, I was contacted to do a review on the HANA Professional 1.5" Flat Iron! I was very grateful to be sent one and thus far have really enjoyed the product :] Thank you again! ♥

This review is entirely on my opinion by the experience I've had with this flat iron.

Firstly, the packaging was GREAT. I love getting packages in the mail. It makes me excited, LOL. And their packaging was more than I expected. Each package they send out is like this! Packed with unexpected stuff :3 A small bottle of their HANA Hair Shield Thermal Protectant, a Heat Proof Silicone Pad, a Heat Proof Pouch, eyeliner, lipgloss, hand sanitizer, nail files, a sleeping mask, three fragrant decorative flowers and a white rose, and the little stuff came in small silk bags :D

On to the flat iron! I don't normally straighten my hair since it's been pin straight my entire life but it's nice to see it once in awhile and this is the best flat iron I've used :3 The ones I've had in the past were awkward to hold, they were heavy, they left kinks in my hair, and even pulled my hair x .x' Ouchies.

This flat iron has floating plates so your hair glides through it and the plates are curved on the sides so it doesn't leave any harsh kinks in your hair and you can style your hair with soft curls, waves, and flip the ends in and out with this.

The chord swivels all the way around at the base and it's slightly weighted so it actually moves with you, not against you, like other hair appliances I've used. The chord is long as well so you have a lot of movement.

I have a friend who uses flat irons and she told me that this was a really good design. It's not clunky shaped, it's pretty thin, and it's light weight, comfortable in the hand, the settings are in a good place so you don't accidentally change it while doing your hair, and it's a pretty good price considering she bought one for $80 and she wasn't exactly fully satisfied with the product.

It was nice to get another opinion :]

It has a simple on and off switch with 5 different settings and there's a red light that indicates it's on. The light starts flickering when it's heated to the selected setting.

The only down side so far with my experience is after a handful or so many uses, at the setting 230 and under the light turns off. I haven't checked if the flat iron turns off and doesn't work at those settings anymore or if the light is defected. Though the other settings work just fine which are the ones I only use anyways so it's not a huge deal.

And this Heat Proof Silicone Pad is pretty darn handy. I tend to just set my hot hair appliances where I can which is sometimes not very safe or smart since it either slips around or is resting on my bed, LOL. So this saves me from any accidents, like burning myself or something and having the appliance fall xDDDD

Here are the results for myself with and without my extensions.

It's definitely versatile enough for fragile hair and extensions. I could've made my hair straighter but I was in a rush and I personally don't like using my settings too high x3

ALSO, it doesn't burn off the dye in your hair! I've used a hair appliance in the past before that burned off color in my hair :[ I was very unhappy. I just dyed my hair and the dye I picked out was too red so you can really tell the difference at the ends of my real hair but at least it's nice to know that this flat iron didn't burn the color out xD

And I've already used the flat iron to curl my hair as well and I LOVE the results. My extensions were curled with curlers but my real hair blended in so soft and nicely :3

After you're done using it, you can put it in your handy dandy Heat Proof Pouch :O

Haha, it's pretty convenient. I don't have proper organization for my hair appliances so it keeps things nice and tidy. There are actually more than one storage bag they sent, or at least to me they can be used as storage bags. The leather one, a velvet one, and the one with the purple bow. The tin box that it came in can be used as that too xD

And it's really awesome that the package comes with the Shine Shield product! I've been meaning to get some sort of heat protectant hair product and this does the trick. You only need a few drops for coverage if you have short hair like me, and apparently you can put it on your skin too o ___o It feels nice, LOL.

So I hope this review was pretty thorough and that it was enjoyable, somehow xD

When I noticed they were carrying Jumily lashes, I couldn't resist! After all, they're one of my favorite model's lashes :D ♥ One of the reasons why I like her so much is because of her eyes. They're not the usual big, round eyes and she has puffy under eyes like me. I can take more from her makeup styles than most others.

I also got Shinny Brown lenses since I haven't had brown lenses since I had Dollyeye Brown, they sent another one of those handy hair accessories that swipe your hair out of the way of your face, and they sent me a grey hippo contact case by request, and some blue fishies? They have this deal going on right now so I think they may have sent those and the little Pumpkinman by mistake:

Wei Son Dark Makeup Look

What do you think? Pretty close? Even pose and all. I just need a hat. LOL.

Yeaaaah, we don't have the same eye shape, that's for sure. My eyes are really wide, but I really like the outcome anyways. It's a very simple look to achieve. I'm glad I tried it. I was concerned it wouldn't look right on me.

I just put one of my lashes on wrong xD The other thing I wasn't capable of doing was the lower lashes. I've ran out of Dolly Wink #No.8 Pure Little that would of given the same effect as Wei Son's lower lashes and I don't have proper mascara to make them long and thick x[ Booo.

I haven't experimented enough with mascara to know what to buy since mine are very thin. That's why I stick to lashes, even though it'd be so much more convenient to use mascara. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Here are other angles of the makeup.

I over extended the wing to my eyeliner because I didn't know when to stop. LOL. I don't really do anything outside of my normal makeup. This is one of the reasons why I love these parts of these kind of magazines. There's so many different styles to choose from and they have people with different eye shapes and eyelashes to use :3

My husband ordered me a Small and it fits wonderfully! Normally I'm a small/medium since my measurements don't fall in the same size but the stretch and the cut to this dress allows me to fit into a small comfortably! Here's the link to their Sizing Chart.

However, comfortable to me can be different to others. If you prefer something that fits, but isn't "fitting", then go up a size. This definitely hugs, but that's kind of the point. Even if you're insecure about fitted clothes, the prints they use for the dresses are so fabulous I feel as if it would distract from any of your insecurities. At least it does with me xD The print and quality is just A+++! Even the cut I was unsure of. I didn't think it would look right on me, but I guess the simplicity of it just suits due to the extravagant print.

From reading other buyer's comments, this dress can be short but it's actually long on me since I'm 4'11". Though it does ride up as I walk since it lightly tapers in at the bottom and the fabric is just so soft. So even I find myself pulling it down when I get up or walk. Though the great thing about this dress is for those who actually have a behind, unlike me, they actually have a slope on the bottom of the dress in the back so it has a little extra coverage :] It's a very smart design since some girls can't wear certain skirts/dresses for the reason that it lifts too much in the back. It's the same for girls who have bigger bussoms! The cut is high on top in front of the dress so you can control whether you want to cover up more or pull down and show more.

I'd say the only downside so far, is that it won't offer much warmth during winter times, but that's when you accessorize ;D If I had the leggings, I'd probably wear knee-high or thigh-high boots with a long top to cover my cold tuckus, haha!

As for the fabric, oh my goodness... It's like, I don't even know how to describe the feeling it gives me, hahahah! It's so incredibly soft, breathable, stretchy, light, and strong. It's GREAT quality. They picked the perfect fabric for a dress like this.

Even the print is koala tea. It's clear, not blurry or pixelated, and the colors are crisp and bright. These pictures were only photoshopped to make the pictures lighter since they were originally pretty dark. When I got my package in person, I couldn't believe how amazing the dress looked and felt in person.

Now, when it comes to price, it definitely is up there for people who prefer to spend like me. Which is very calculating, practical, and cheap, haha! I only ever buy anything over $30 when it's for a special occasion or it's needed. In this case, my husband bought this for me for my birthday and I'm very grateful! I wouldn't give it back at all xD If you can afford this without it making you wince, you'll get addicted to their clothing the instant you put it on!

Hell, on their Facebook, the designer has made status updates saying that your bills are more important than buying their clothes, hahaha! It's crazy and they have such dedicated customers! Which makes sense since they respond rather quickly to emails, interact on their FB, and my package was supposed to come in between 1 or 3 weeks, but instead, came in 1 week! ON MY BIRTHDAY! It was AWESOME xD I can't guarantee it'll happen for everyone, but that was just the whipped cream to me x] ♥

Wore it to church!

I've only worn this dress out once so far (it's like I want to save it's purity xDDDD) and this is how I wore it out :] It's very versatile! At home I've played dress up and it's great as a top to a high waisted skirt and a skirt underneath a top and really cute with a cardigan or pants! It's become one of my absolute favorite items on my clothes rack. ♥

I'll actually be using this dress as part of my "Before and After" weight loss since it's very fitting. Can't wait to see how it looks on me when I'm done! I've got an older before and after when I was two dress sizes bigger, but I didn't use any certain clothes to measure my weight loss so you don't see the over all difference. Regardless, I'm happy to see any difference at all :] So proud of myself! Just going on another push!

Anyways, this was definitely a worthwhile buy/gift. I'm satisfied even with just one piece from them!

My sister's bridal shower at Heart and Home!

My sister is engaged! She just had her bridal shower and it was hosted by a couple women from our church. Above is my beautiful sister and mother :3 ♥ (I'm not posting other people's pictures for privacy.)

The shower was held at this adorable little place called Heart and Home. We've driven by it multiple times but I never went inside. Nothing is ever really that outstanding around the place I live so I didn't expect anything special when I went in, but I was completely wrong! It's so adorable and dainty and cute! For twenty minutes straight, we couldn't stop saying cute because of all the little details xD It was so comfortable and homey too :3 And the front of the store is like a gift shop area!

Everything was so tiny and delicate, even the food! It was beautiful ; 3; We already wanted to come back right when we sat down xD And everything was served at a really great pace and size so you don't over eat and stuff yourself, haha! Which is a big plus for me since I swallow everything in sight (which I'm trying to fix) xD Even in the end, I wound up being very full though!

They have a menu just for tea, front and back, and they serve it in your own cute little teapot! I got the "chocolate chip" tea. It was so tasty and they have a little cup of sugar cubes and cream :3 We all felt like we were having a sophisticated kids tea party, hahaha! Even the waitresses were wearing cute aprons ; ___; ♥ The entire look makes me want to work there and I said I'd NEVER work in food xD (I just know I'll mess things up and drop every plate and everyone would complain about my hair dipping in their food lol - .-')

We've already decided that we're going when it's actually cold in Florida because it would be such a perfect setting. Dressing up in cute, warm clothes, being in a cute place, cuddling up to our significant others, taking too many pictures xD I was too enthralled with all the details to be taking any pictures of myself this first time. Which I'm kind of upset about because my hair was so perfect and fluffy that day thanks to my new Hana Professional flat iron ;3 I frackin' love that thing!

Anyways, getting off topic. Below are some of the pictures I took. The second to last picture was my plate. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. I normally don't post about places I go to since they're not that significant, but I can't resist sharing cute places like this ♥ I want to take everyone with me! Even the boys who come over for game night. Seeing all those guys sipping tea from dainty cups and raising their pinky fingers, which I know they'd do xD But I know the food won't be enough for them, so we'll have to take them to a steak place after, hahaha. I've rambled enough about how cute this place is xDDD You can tell I'll be going back again and again! Hopefully, I can get the boys to go and take pictures of them in this cute, tiny place xD

Eyebrow Tutorial!

Awhile ago I got a request to do an eyebrow tutorial. I had to wait for my eyebrows. LOL.

Okay kids, here's the first part of the lesson. Don't over pluck! Or you'll wind up like me, LOL. This is how my brows look with and without the fill.

In high school, I was into more extreme makeup. That included checker board eyeshadow patterns and high, thin line eyebrows.

From over plucking, my eyebrows don't grow in the same anymore. That and I just can't keep my hands off of them so they're forever uneven, hahaha. I plucked top and bottom, which it's highly recommended to not pluck the top part (unless you're a professional or something).

I mean, go ahead and over pluck them if you like being teased about it by your family and if you want your husband to think it's cute, hahaha x]

I don't really regret it though. I had a lot of fun with what I was doing before. So long as I was enjoying myself, there's no reason to regret it. It's a part of me, my husband thinks it's funny and cute, and I enjoy filling them in anyways xD

But I wouldn't encourage anyone to do it, especially if you have nice, thick eyebrows. Those are the best to work with :]

So, let's start!

1.Brush out your eyebrows.

(if you have any, LOL)

This is so there are no hairs out of place. Some are sticking up, sticking out, pointing down, etc. It could influence the shape just because they're slightly out of place. If you don't have an eyebrow brush, you can use a tooth brush.

2. Find your arc!

Pink - Between the outside of your nose and the tip of your nose is where you indicate the start of the brow.

Green - From the middle section of the bottom of your nose to the center of your pupil is where your highest arc should be. (Though some people do it from the nostril to the pupil or the tip of the nose to the pupil. It makes the arc closer or further away.)

Blue - From the outside of your nose to the outer most corner of your eye is where your eyebrow should end.

If you want, you can physically mark the three areas with some eye liner. This may make the process easier for some.

Here's my own picture for reference on a real face. As you can see, the pink line doesn't reach my brows. Some people will naturally have shorter brows or longer brows. If you decide to fill them in, the pink line is as far as it should go for balance. However, it's not a set rule. Play around with it and see what best balances your features or what suits your preferences.

3. Pick your shape!

For light or sparse brows, you can fill in the shape you'd like. This way you can play around with the shape you want before plucking your brows. You can use eye shadow, eye liner, or brow shadow.

For darker eyebrows, you can use a cream eye shadow, concealer, or liquid foundation to cover the unwanted hairs to make the desired shape.

Here are my brows. I just outline the shape since I'm used to it. Go ahead and fill them in really dark if you want just so the shape is obvious and it doesn't get lost with your eyebrows.

Here's a few eye brow shapes.

Everyone has a different shape naturally and can only achieve certain shapes.

Don't try to go against your natural shape. Stay within it's arc.

4. Pluck your eyebrows!

If you decided to fill in your brows with a darker color to find your shape, pluck the hairs that you didn't fill in. If you decided to color over the areas you wanted plucked, pluck those hairs. Stay within your shape and don't over pluck. If you're not certain, don't do it. Be patient. The hair might just be a bit too long and would need trimming, not plucking.

5. Clean your brows and brush them out.

After you're done plucking, wash off the makeup and plucked hairs, then brush your brows out again. Some hairs will be a bit too long and will make the shape look a little messy.

6. Trim your eyebrows.

With a small pair of scissors, trim those hairs that are out of place to make the shape of your eyebrows more defined. If you're not comfortable with this, it won't look horrible :b Some people just like it super clean!

7. Ta-da!

And that makes one side done :D Haha, that's pretty much it. It takes time and patience for a nice shape if you're not used to doing this or if you want a new shape. And for those like me who have very light little/light brows, fill them in, of course. Make sure you start light and then build up the color so it looks more natural. If you're having a hard time choosing what color to go with, eyebrows are generally two shades lighter than your hair.

This post isn't meant to make anyone feel guilty or compelled to participate (though I'd encourage it, of course :b). It's just good to remind ourselves how blessed we are. It's easy to forget in our fast paced, noisy world to be grateful of what we have.

I can only say it in the most simplest way that their joy is just amazing and beautiful to me from receiving these simple and affordable "solar lightbulbs" and how there's people helping to make this happen. I could go on, but just watch the video and you'll probably understand ♥

Plus, this tends to tug at my heart just a little more since I was born in the Philippines. I didn't stay there for long, but I can't help but be thankful for where I am in my life. I kinda hate to say it but I am a little priss when I'm not comfortable. I hate the heat and become very impatient when I'm uncomfortable. I would have learned how to live like this if I was born in to a family in this circumstance but it's amazing how close I was to areas like this when I did live in the Philippines.

I remember when I was probably about 3-years-old, I was on a bus/jeepney with my grandmother. She gave me a coin to toss to a homeless person at the corner. This person didn't have a leg and I didn't toss it far enough. I felt SO bad that I didn't throw throw it far enough because I saw the person crawl to it :[

Though I'm sure all they were thinking was how grateful they were for that coin.

So ever since I was young I've always been very heartfelt to those less fortunate (I hate that term but I don't know what else to use Dx) and I remind myself as much as I can not to take anything for granted and to work on being happy. There's no point in being miserable in a situation you can't fix. You have to take the best of what you've got and work with it.

One day I was thinking to myself about losing some weight so that I could look better in clothes and then I had to pause right there. I felt bad for thinking something like that, not because I'm against it but because I've wanted to be a role model to those who are built like me since I never found someone like me when I was growing up and had to learn by myself to accept me as I am. Not only that, I want to support health and confidence to all body types.

I went to a couple of my friends to discuss this because I felt unsettled with it due to the fact that I'm still uncomfortable with my own body regardless of my weight loss of two dress sizes. In the end after a few words, I came to the realization that I'm not allowing myself to be happy with my body because I feel guilty for wanting something for myself.

I'm still not thinking for myself like I thought I was. I'm still being influenced and brainwashed by one side of the spectrum. On one side of the spectrum, I used to think I had to be tall and skinny to be beautiful. To me that was hopeless because I'm short as hell and I've never been very skinny before. Then there was the other side where you should love yourself and be confident regardless of your size because no matter what you're beautiful! I loved it and agreed with that so much.. that I actually felt bad when I wanted to lose more weight...

I'm still not thinking for myself.
I'm still letting someone else's ideals think for me.
I had to reevaluate myself. I had to listen to my thoughts, my insecurities, my needs and wants.

My thoughts tell me that I'm confident, beautiful, I look good in my clothes, but that I'm still unhappy with the way my body looks. I've accepted that I won't be tall (that's what heels are for ;D) and that I won't have an hourglass figure because that's not my natural body type. Unless I start corseting but that's not for me. But ultimately, I'm happy with myself except for the current state of my body.

So if I'm unhappy, I should do something about it! I shouldn't guilt trip myself for wanting that. It doesn't mean I'm trying to follow someone else's ideals. I'm following my own. I'm not trying to be anyone else, I'm not trying to look like something I can't be, I just want a fitter version of me! And it's okay to be selfish in that sense. It's for no one else's pleasure but my own. It's been holding me back and I want to confront it!

The difference is that I'm already confident and I like the way I'm built together so losing weight isn't a solution to become beautiful. A part of the issue was that I was unable to differentiate that. I felt like I was changing myself for someone else's ideals, when in reality I was holding myself back from doing me.

Listen to your thoughts and your insecurities and what you really need versus what you want. Before I gained good self-esteem I wanted to be skinny because I thought it would make me instantly beautiful. However, losing weight wasn't my solution. I didn't like my features, my figure, my skin, or my height. Losing weight wouldn't change these things very much. I wasn't going to turn into another person. I am me no matter what I do. I had to learn what I needed, which was to learn to love myself. Without that, I'd continue to be miserable.

I had to force myself to pick things I could like about myself, and that alone was hard. After that, I learned to accept myself as I am completely because I can't be anyone else. I'm not an imitation. I am me and I had to be proud of that. I had to stop comparing myself to other people and just have fun and be happy with myself and interests. There's more to life than looks and insecurities, and that shouldn't hold you back from accomplishing things or from your happiness (because it definitely did with me).

Now that I've got what I needed, it's okay to work on what I want for myself. It's okay to be a little selfish for yourself :] It's my body and my life. I want as much joy from it as I can.

I also learned that asking for help and support isn't a bad thing either. It doesn't make you weak. It helps strengthen you and gives you motivation. For awhile, I thought I was being weak for being unable to accept myself as I am right now, but really, I was just unhappy. That isn't weakness. Asking for help is just another step to take sometimes.

Like I said earlier, I want to support health and confidence to all body types. Think for yourself, act on your health physically and mentally, and if there's anything that's holding you back from loving yourself, confront it and figure out why it's holding you back and what you can do about it!

"Fiber Content: 68% recycled cotton, 17% acrylic, 15% spandex. Machine or hand was in cold to cool water, tumblr dry low or hang dry.

Sizing Tips: Women's shoe size 5-10, maybe even bigger. These start at approximately 24 inches from heel to top, but may only be knee-high on longer legs or thigh-high on shorter legs.

There seems to be a lot of discrepancy in the maximum calf width for these, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to which colors are which size. We'll keep checking them as we get more, and hopefully soon we'll get some consistency!

For now:
Recommended for 16 inches or less only: Teal and Grey. Best bet for larger calves (may be uncomfortably snug at 20 inches): Seafoam, Hunter, Natural, Olice, Plum, and Royal.

The other colors should be fine up to 17 or 18 inches. Anyone with a calf circumference of less than 16 inches should have no problems with any of them."

Purchased these socks a few weeks ago because the old thigh highs that I used were actually my husband's old black socks. The heel of the sock would always hang out if I wore heels and it didn't look pretty, hahaha! So, I went on a search for some comfortable, but affordable thigh highs so I can give back his socks and have my own, haha!

When I got them, I was surprised with how fast the shipping was! It was free shipping too since I live in the U.S. :D Aside that, there was no struggle to put them on, they fit just right on my feet, AND they didn't roll down! Since I'm short, these are thigh highs on me instead of over the knee which is great cause they give me more variety of wear :]

Here's a few outfits I put together with the different ways I wore them:
Pulled all the way up, scrunched under my knees, and rolled over my knees.

I photoshopped the socks blue and green because they would be a lot more expressive than just black. The next one I want to get is that Royal blue and then that Kelly green :B

I'd say my only complaint with these are that they're a little rough. Not itchy, but I suppose they could be considered kind of coarse. Like, when I wear them and I'm on heels for hours, I start feeling the pattern on the bottom of my feet. However, I'm not complaining much because they were only $6 with no shipping and they're available in 29 colors. I'm pretty happy with that combination x]

Haven't had a camera for awhile. Le sigh. So I haven't been doing anything. Doesn't feel right when I can't take pictures, haha!

And if you haven't already noticed, I decided to change things up just a tad bit on my blog and on to the right is a list of posts I'd like to get done. Sometimes I find myself lacking in what to do so I never post. I came up with a few ideas and remembered a few things I still need to review and a couple people requested tutorials.

I think I'll be borrowing my mother-in-law's camera for reviews and the such though, since she has one that actually works and is way nicer than mine. I'm glad she loves me xD ♥

In other news, my birthday just passed a few days ago! September 6th :D

It was WONDERFUL. I normally hate my birthday but it was a huge turnaround this year ♥

Got quite a few things too, which is pretty abnormal x] So I'm very thankful for all the effort everyone had put in ♥

One of my presents was the galaxy dress! Which is already posted above :3 It's AMAZING. So amazing, that I made a pixel dress of it for my banner, hahaha! Pictures really don't do it justice, neither do mirrors. Seeing it in person is best and even more eyegasmic. The fabric is super soft, light, and thin too. I'll have to take proper pictures when I can!

Another present from my husband was a ukulele!

I actually had it late August instead of September xD

This is the first instrument I've really dedicated myself to in a very long time. I think I'm catching on fairly quick :] It's a really easy instrument to pick up, literally, lolololz. The one he got me is a Concert ukulele. As you can see, it's pretty tiny :3 I haven't seen a Soprano in person before but it's smaller. I want one of those too! xD

Got myself a cheapie no-heat hair curler set! Also, new lenses :]

Ever since I got my new extensions I've been really stingy about curling them because I want them to stay as soft as possible for the longrun. Styling and heat can cause hair to dry quicker aaaand it takes more maintenance to curl my extensions and to wash them from product build up and to nourish them from the abuse.

So I went ahead and grabbed these cheap curlers from Walmart for $9 and I am extremely pleased with the results!

My only issue is that even though the package says magnetic, they're just plastic. The pieces snap into each other. The plastic that snaps the hair into place does slightly expand after using them by stuffing them with thick hair, so you have to squeeze it in your palm to get it back to shape in order to fit the other piece. So it does make me wary about how long these will last. At least they're cheap :3

All I did to get the curls was separate my extensions into small sections and ran my hand through the hair with water, then I rolled the hair into the curler. Let it dry over night and then you have curls for the whole day! I didn't use any products or heat at all which makes me really happy :]

I wasn't sure what I was going to get since I haven't used rollers before. I was mildly surprised with how tight the curls were and was concerned if I was going to look like a high priced poodle x] But I wound up loving the volume and curls xD I just had to run my fingers through them and wait a little bit for the curls to drop a bit.

It's so pretty and fun :3 I couldn't stop touching them and jumping up and down so that they would spring up, haha.

There wasn't enough curlers to do my own hair at the same time. I'll have to buy another set if I wanted to do that. That's why the top of my hair isn't as curly. The barrel of my curling iron is 1 1/4" which makes waves more than curls.

I have almost the same crooked, smirking smile in this picture as the one above xDDD

I'm looking into the Jilbere Nano Silver Curling Iron which has a 1" barrel. I'm sure it'll help blend in my hair with the extensions when I curl them like this.

Back to the curls ♥ The humidity does bring them down much quicker so I'll probably use products for that. I'm glad summer is almost over though. Well, kind of. I live in Florida so it's summer most of the year . ___. Such a horrible state for hair xD

I also tried another different makeup style. It's very heavy but it's actually due to the lashes. It's a mix of 3 different lashes. One of them is a Diamond lash. The other two I forget, but they were bought at Sally's. The bottom eyelashes were cut up from Dolly Wink #1.

Haven't tried this style before so it's still pretty messy, especially on the bottom lid. But the lashes make for great picture taking x] Very dramatic!

And by the way, the contacts I'm using are Glossy 3 Tone Green, 15mm. They sent me the wrong ones but I opened them anyways xD I'm impatient and I like trying new lenses, haha.

They're huge, even for my eyes. I rarely get a halo but these give me the look! When I started getting into circle lenses, I really wanted a halo but they weren't coming out with very big lenses yet. So be warned, 15mm lenses are huuuuge. I have a huge face, so it doesn't look as dramatic as people with smaller faces x]

The color is exactly as you see in the pictures. They're very translucent and offer a hint of color. These lenses dry quick though. After 4-5 hours of wear, they were drying up really fast.

In other news, yesterday was my husband's 23rd birthday! Yaaaaay! I look forward to celebrating the many birthdays of his life ahead of us ♥

I am dearly proud and in love with this boy ♥

That night I decided I wanted to try one of Tsubasa Masawaka's Dolly Wink eyeshadow palette makeup looks. I don't have the palette myself, but I have a large color palette that I felt matched the colors well. Eventually, I'd LOVE to have this little palette because I really enjoyed the look!

Excuse my bottom lashes! They're getting very old and are over used.

And the wind was ruining my hair and making it whip my face AND getting in my eyes. LOL.

Blue is quite a common color that's used to get a more eccentric look for people who don't often apply drastic makeup. Coupling this turquoise color with the orange really deepens the look by adding depth to the eyes and creates a more mature feel as blue tends to be a youthful color.

I feel that this look isn't too bold for people who wear minimal makeup but would enjoy a bright change up. I added on a super bright red-orange lipstick as a personal touch and my Dolly Wink lashes for drama :3

No, my hair is not going to fall out and it's perfectly healthy and soft (considering it's bleached and all).

I've had unnaturally colored hair for over a year and felt a deep desperation to get back to a natural and dark hair color. I photoshopped my hair into several colors and picked auburn!

It was a tough decision since I really considered all these colors, but I found auburn extensions that I fell in love with which made me choose in the end. The extensions I'm currently using are by Luxy. This is the first time I've bought extensions without making them myself so I don't know how fair their prices are. I just hope it was well worth the buy in the long run!

This time around when I dyed my hair, I didn't even have to bleach it and there was no problem from going green to red! It was VERY easy actually. I used L'Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair Only.

If you look at the picture below, you can see that my roots were an inch or more in and my hair was still very green. With a 30 developer, I mixed the dye in and applied it to my roots. After 20 minutes, I took the rest of the dye from the bottle and mixed it in with 20 developer and put the rest in my hair. I left it in for another 20 minutes.

After I washed it out, it was this rich, red burgundy color!

This was my first step from getting to green hair to red hair so that I didn't have to fuss with having brown hair. Normally, when you put red over green, you get brown. After it faded, I went ahead and used my "backup" dye which was a dark auburn. It matched my extensions perfectly and then faded to the color below.

See how it's duller and more brown than the extensions? However, I still liked the color that it faded to. Considering that what I do with my hair is hit and miss by my expectations, I've loved every shade it's been.

Yesterday, I went ahead and dyed it with Ion Color Brilliance Medium Red Brown. It came out much darker and more brown than my extensions. When I was picking out the color, I was in a rush so I wasn't thinking straight! I should have gotten a dye with a stronger red base, but it's cool. I quite like the color still :] You can see the separation of color but as it fades, I think it'll blend it a little better.

From green hair to auburn hair!

Before all this, as I mentioned a few post before, we went to an anime convention! Here's a few pictures of me and my husband as Pokemon traingers, Touko and N, from Pokemon Black and White :3

These guys were dressed as the first gym leaders that you battle in the game. Norris and I got caught with them and we had to pose together xD I look so tan o .o

I didn't take very many pictures. As usual xD It was hella fun though :] AND, I CAME HOME WITH A STITCH KIGURUMI AND A DRAGON BALL PILLOW.

I've also started a little series for myself. I'll be drawing these school girls for each day of the week. This one is "Pink Cherry Monday". I'm not sure if I'll keep with the fruit or foods theme, but I'll be drawing a girl for each day as I get the inspiration for them.

I think she looks quite cute and sweet :3 ♥

I'm thinking of doing a guy version too but with cute animals but I dunno. I prefer doing these as an image pops into my head. So far, there are no other girls just yet but I'm determined to finish the week x[

Haven't done one of these in awhile! I actually stopped taking pictures of my outfits for awhile which is kind of upsetting now since I liked quite a few of them. Oh well. I still have the same clothes xD I just need to remember what I wore.

I don't really have that many summer clothes x ___x For the past two years I've been trying to reinvent my wardrobe since I wasn't as into dressing up before. I was trying to take things to a more natural approach at the time, feeling like I had to "grow up" from all the color and snazz, until I got bored of it and snapped out of it.

I've got a few clothes that I really like and that's appropriate for the weather but I think that would get kind of boring seeing that all the time x3 Plus, it's really hard to layer since I don't have very many accessory type of clothes, AND it's too hot.

Oh well, I'm grateful for what I have ♥

My hair is pretty faded right now so it doesn't match up well with my extensions so I just curled my hair that day. I'm really happy with the length. It hasn't grown out this long for years now. Having extensions really help me stay off of my hair with scissors xD

AND, a few days ago I received my Pretty Crystal (a.k.a. iFairy Crystal) Pink lenses from Pinkyparadise! I absolutely love the color and they enlarge really well. Can't really judge the comfort level right now since I've only worn it once but this review will eventually come up as well :]

Color/Pattern - 5/5

If you already couldn't tell, these lenses are OPAQUE! Even in dim light, you can tell that my eyes are lighter. These are such a beautiful, vibrant shade of blue and they look natural as well! They're not scary or piercing. It's very soft and doll like. I've had a few people tell me that they look natural and someone in person thought they were my natural eye color x]

I gave these a 5/5 because they were exactly what I was looking for. Natural pattern with a bright noticeable color.

Enlargement - 5/5

You can just look at the comparison picture and you can see the difference. But if you look at the outdoor and indoor picture, you can see that it looks smaller in certain angles and bigger in others. However, if you have smaller irises, anything in 14.5mm will make your eyes look HUGE. When my husband tried on his Puffy 3 Tone Grey lenses, the difference between his natural eye and the contact were insanely different. He doesn't need vision correction at all, but I would guess that if he had to wear them he would be given 14.0mm-14.2mm lenses, verus me, I have to wear mine at 14.5mm for coverage. These will definitely make you look dolly.

Comfort - 5/5

Oh my gosh, I can wear these for hours. You really shouldn't go past 8 hours of wear, but if you didn't have the availability to, you'd still be good. To be honest, I was out for 10 or more hours once and I may have used my eyedrops once or twice. Like I said, you shouldn't wear them for so long, especially if you wear contacts every day due to protein build up on the lenses and the lack of oxygen to your eyes. But these lenses, yeah, they're super comfy.

These were the first lenses my husband has ever worn and he told me after he adjusted to them, that he couldn't feel them at all. So even though they're opaque, the lens itself is still pretty thin.

Overall - 5/5

I almost wish I had something to complain about these lenses but I absolutely LOVE them. The first time I saw pictures of the Puffy 3 Tone series, I wasn't that impressed. I thought they were lovely and that I'd like to try them at some point. When that "some point" came around I instantly wanted to order ALL the other colors. There is blue, grey, green, brown, hazel, purple, and pink. I've seen pictures of all the colors except hazel from real buyers so maybe I'll look into hazel next :]

As for my experience with Honey Color. I haven't ordered from them in a VERY long time so I was surprised with their cute packaging! Not sure how long they've had it but it's very professional looking and the back has instructions on how to put lenses in.

I think it's a nice touch even for people who've been wearing lenses for years. It's almost nostalgic in a sense thinking back on the first lenses I was trying on and how I instantly dropped one and kept trying to push up invisible glasses, LOL.

Also, with every order of lenses, you get a free lens case :] I forgot to request certain ones but I'm glad with what they sent us since I don't have either of those cases. Oh, and their shipping was really fast too! I was surprised they came in so quickly. Maybe a week, or a week and a half. I can't remember if we payed for quicker shipping Dx'

Their prices are great though xD

Anyway, I hope this review is useful to someone and if you do order from this series that you love it as much as I do! ♥

You're too skinny, you anorexic!

I've never been accused of being anorexic or been called skinny so I can't really relate but I can't help but feel the offense people bring to those who are very tiny and receive these comments. Not everyone achieves a tiny frame/waist through an eating disorder and some people are naturally born with a tiny frame or a fast metabolism.

Why is it that people immediately jump to the conclusion that someone is unhealthy when they're small or have lost a lot of weight? (Especially when they've either stated that's their family body build or that they ate healthy and exercised for their body? Did that completely go over your head?) People just like to look at what they see and judge it on the outside and the numbers, rather than the actual story.

You can look at a chart that you found online all you want at what a healthy weight is for a person, but you can be at any weight and still be unhealthy on the inside. Sometimes it doesn't matter how healthy or unhealthy a person could look on the outside. It depends on what they put in it. Someone who looks really fit could be on drugs. Someone who is chubby, could actually be eating healthy but have a slow metabolism.

There are a lot of people who are at an unhealthy weight, and everyone should go to their doctor and get a check up to know what you should be doing for your body, but just because someone looks too skinny doesn't mean they're unhealthy. Some girls really can't help it. How do you think they feel being picked on for something they can't change? They want to feel beautiful and accept too. Or how about someone who has been suffering an ED or has been overweight all their life and they can finally eat healthily and lost weight healthily but you're still telling them they're not good enough by telling them they're unhealthy/too skinny. Seriously?

This battle is never going to die down between skinny and fat because everyone has their own idea of what is right and what isn't. And when I say fat, I don't even mean obese. I mean fat percentage, fat placement, healthy fat. Fat isn't a bad word! There is such thing as GOOD FAT. People make it a bad word. Skinny too. The word skinny is so linked to the words diet, beauty, tiny, feminine, desirable, eating disorder. It's awful only because it's not just describing one thing, it describes a social mentality.

I'm completely guilty of wanting to be skinny but I'm doing it for health purposes both physically and mentally because I did suffer an ED once upon a time and I was unhappy with the way I was treating my body. So, I did something about it. It was my choice. But you know what? There are people who love their body even if they're consciously eating unhealthily. Let them because it's their choice. They don't need to be bullied into losing weight or eating healthy because that will make them think they're not good enough. They need to realize on their own to eat healthy FOR THEMSELVES. You don't need to leave them alone about it (unless they ask or you can visibly see it's making them feel bad), but be careful of your words and actions and how you go about doing it.

Same with smokers/drinkers, people who tan in the sun, and text while driving. Smokers, they know what bad things happen to their body but you can't force someone to stop. It's their decision. People who tan out in the sun a lot, too much sun exposure can cause bad things to your skin but they do it knowing the causes. Texting while driving, you know you shouldn't do it and even if you're "skilled" enough to. That doesn't mean someone else isn't going to hit you or you'll miss that one split second that could keep things from getting bad. People do things all the time that aren't always the best for them but that's not an excuse to place judgement on that person. To call them stupid, too this or too that. We all have our faults and problems that sometimes we could care less to fix or wait to fix even if we should. That's the way a lot of us are.

Have any of you been accused for being "too skinny" or brought down because you lost "too much weight"? Or just been told you need to do this or that because it's better for you? And how did you feel about it?

I haven't been able to go for the past two years and it's made me VERY upset since I like being around fellow geeks and anime freaks! It's likely that I'm only going Saturday though, but I'll be there all day and will be going to the Blackout Rave that night as well. Let me know if you're going or if you live in that area. Maybe we can meet up :3

This year is going to be the first year that I'm going to be cosplaying! As well as my husband :3 We decided we're going as Touko and N from Pokemon Black and White :D (thus the Pokemon panels)

It's simple, easy, and recognizable.

Plus, it's the first Pokemon game we've played together ♥ It only makes sense!

There are probably going to 20 other N's and Touko's running around since the game is still new but we don't care. We're going to have fun! Plus, we're going to be a real female Touko and a real male N and we can kiss and hold hands and be cute together naturally :3 Other N/Touko cosplays I've seen are normally just friends or both girls so I think Norris and I can take advantage of this for picture xD

We've already got most of the things for them. Part of it is closet cosplay where you take clothes from your closet and make it up for the costume. I'm not too stingy about it. So long as it looks pretty good, I'm happy. But some more hard core cosplayers think it's lazy.

What I need to do now is make the Void Cube hanging off of N's chain, his golden bracelets and cuff, his necklace, Touko's wristbands, sew my vest and shorts to look like hers, buy a black top for N, paint the white shoes we got for N, and style the wigs. There's still quite a bit more work to do when it comes to little details but we've got the main items down.

For example, I got the hats done!

I painted the lid and hot glued felt for the symbol. It was pretty darn easy and I think it looks pretty nice :] Some time ago Norris and I bought these squishy stress ball like Pokeballs from Walmart.

One is a Master Ball the other is an Ultra Ball :D

The N hat was simple xD Not much work, hahah!

We also got contacts! Puffy 3 Tone Blue and Grey. This time I bought them from HoneyColor and the shipping was soooo fast * A*

I'll be doing a review of the Blue ones soon enough since those ones are mine. Eventually, I'll get my husband to do a review as a first time contact lens and circle lens wearer. He's still practicing getting them in and out and getting used to having them in. Though so far he's told me that it only irritates him in the first minute or so since something is in his eye, but once it adjusts he said he couldn't feel them in his eyes :] He has perfect vision so he didn't need a prescription but he did say there was a tiny bit magni

fication but after all, he does have a piece of plastic in his eyes. It didn't bother him though. It was just a note.

I don't have any pictures of the greys but I do have a few phone pictures of the blues and they're GORGEOUS. I absolutely love them, they're comfortable, they show well but not eerily bright like Dollyeye Blue. Fairly natural, considering. The enlargening is very obvious for those who wear clear contacts at 14.0mm but for people like me who wear 14.5mm clear contacts, these enlarge just a bit for that dolly effect. Still a difference but if I had one lens out, at just 2 feet you wouldn't notice the difference.

They pop a lot more when I wear a brown wig :]

I'll be doing makeup on him too so he looks more legit B] He doesn't mind either! He knows how it goes. We've also got a couple poses down for pictures xD I'm so glad he's just as into this as I am. Makes it more fun :3

A few of our friends are coming with us as well. Alison, Zeike, Jimmy, and maybe Alex and Jordan (I'm praying they can go!). I know Alison will cosplay. Not sure about everyone else. I believe it's their first convention so they'll just have fun being there x] It would have been awesome doing a group cosplay though. Maybe next year >>"

Also for the Blackout Rave I'll be changing costumes and wearing this cute Nurse costume!

I got it on eBay for less than $20. It comes in "One Size Fits Most" but if you want to buy this cute little dress just search up pink nurse costume and set the price to $0-$20.

By then I'll be adding in my pink extensions to my green hair and I'm gonna try and make my hair super curly and I'll see if I can make or buy some fuzzy leg warmers or something to cover my ankles to complete the outfit some more. I'll be wearing Pretty Crystal Pink Circle Lenses and putting crystals on my face too x] I'm so excited to see how it's going to turn out! :D

Even though we're only going Saturday, we'll be in Tampa from Friday to Sunday.

Friday night. This is going down B]

Me and my group are going to watch the Green Lantern movie which comes out that night! I can only imagine how many people are gonna be there considering there's a convention going on in down town, hahaha. I wonder if anyone will be dressed up x] That would be awesome. My husband and I have been pretty psyched about this movie and I want to eventually pick up the comics. He's talked to me about all different kind of Green Lanterns and I think it's pretty interesting so this might be the first comic I enjoy :0

Sunday, who knows what we're going to do. Alison and Zeike want to go to Ikea so I might tag along. Whatever happens though, I know it's going to be a fun weekend :3 Can't wait! Only a month away!

Earlier today I was checking my usual sites for messages and what not and this was freshly sitting in my ask box on Tumblr.

Now I know the majority, if not all of the people following this blog are makeup junkies and/or circle lens fanatics. I know the title alone probably riled up quite a few of you, but let's look into this a little deeper.

Personally, this was two compliments in one post regarding two different topics. One about natural beauty, and then the other being called a plastic doll. If anon only knew that that is one of the things I want to be, haha. AND, that I actually like the way I look naturally as well.

What baffles me is why would someone send this to a person who clearly enjoys dying her hair unnatural colors and likes to wear makeup and contacts and then call her a fake, plastic doll? Don't they realize that that's a compliment? Hahaha.

But the big question is, why are the looks more important than the mind? Why is it that being "natural" is better than being "unnatural"? What's the difference if the person's personality is rotten? At least she's pretty? Or, she's ugly either way?

It's things like this that make people feel so inadequate because you can judge a person on the outside faster than on the inside. One look at a person and they can instantly judge you for everything you are and think they're better than you.

Who's to say what was going through this person's head. I don't know if they were trolling, jealous, bored, or ignorant. Hell, it could be all of the above but it's clear that this person was saying I wasn't good enough. Who is that person to say that I'm not? Even if they knew me personally or found me randomly online, what have they done as a human that makes them better than another human? We breathe the same air, we both make mistakes, we both have to work, we both have to live through the bad times in life. I would never say I'm better than anyone but I would never go around trying to put someone down. Even if they knew I had a strong personality, you shouldn't do that. It's rude, disrespectful, and a waste of time.

This is also a result of how they grew up mentally. Someone or something taught them to think closed-mindedly when it comes to beauty and that you should be degraded for not following those ways. Beauty comes in all forms. Through someone's personality, past, love, passion, appearance, grace, androgyny, compassion, confidence, hard work, etc. etc. The word beauty isn't defined by one thing, but by many things that are appealing to the eyes. Yes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but that doesn't make a person less ignorant if they don't respect other people's opinions and interests.

Like I had said at the end of my response, "Let them figure out how they're going to feel beautiful."

I don't know who was behind this and I can only hope that my response opened their eyes to a world of different beautiful people.

I've been missing for almost two months!

Half of the time I was busy, the other half I was lazy, haha! ♥

I never said I was a good blogger but it's crazy to see that the number of people following my blog actually grew! Thanks for following, everyone! I'll be posting at least once a week from now on :] (hopefully, haha!)

We were in Tennessee for a week in March visiting with my sister's fiance, then boyfriend. He actually proposed to her during that trip :3 They're super cute and lovey-dovey together. It's almost sickening, haha, and Norris and I are pretty lovey-dovey ourselves xD But he's stationed in Germany so they take advantage of what time they have together. I'm ridiculously happy for them because for once my sister finally has someone that wants to take care of her and treat her right and actually DO IT!

I have pictures from when we were in TN but they're on the laptop and I'm on the Mac. I might add them later. Lots of nature stuff of which my camera wouldn't of done any justice. Norris finally got to see a mountain for a first time and actually be on one and then go into a cave and see a waterfall for the first time too. It was nice to share those moments with him ♥ The waterfall was absolutely beauuuutiful. I wish I could've had better pictures!

Right after that trip, about a week later was me and Norris's anniversary! April 1st ♥

It was our 1st year married and our 7th year being together ♥

We didn't really take any pictures celebrating our anniversary this year though. I haven't really been using my camera much so there will be a lot of webcam/phone pictures. We were just enjoying each other's company. Our original plans were to go to Disneyworld but we wind up not being able to go so he took me shopping and then we ate at Charley's Steakery. It was a really great day :3

Other than shopping at the mall, he did buy me a couple things beforehand that I was going to wear to Disney which was a Teal Tuxedo Romper and Mickey Mouse Sunglasses!

Then at the mall he bought me these kick ass golden cheetah print leggings, a doll necklace, a white top, and a cupcake pillow :3 Also a number of other wonderful gifts ♥

As for me, I got him a couple new shirts and then made up a cute little game on our anniversary where I placed colored strips of paper in random places with little symbols on them. Any time he'd find one, I'd tell the meaning behind them. Things like how I've always loved his smile and how I find great comfort in holding his hand. Stuff since the beginning our relationship, to current things. A couple silly/funny ones, and then a few messages and yeaaah. I also gave him a homemade card!

If you want to try out this idea, go for it! It's a sweet way to say things you want to if you're too embarrassed to say them out of no where or for a romantic way to do things. Some of them were timed, like putting one into his hand or on his pillow before going to sleep.

Then this is the card below. It was a 3 panel card. Most people wouldn't guess what's going on so I'll explain.

Lately he's been playing a lot of Minecraft, therefore him holding a pick axe, and I've been playing a lot of Pokemon so I'm wearing a trainer's cap. The sceneries have been switched. I'm in his Minecraft home trying to make a Minecraft cake, and he's in the forest looking for Pokemon. At the end of the day, we come together to give each other our presents (note that he has a Master Ball, not just a regular Pokeball LOL). It's a silly way of me portraying how hard we work for each other and how we pay attention to each other's interests.

Once again, it was a great anniversary :3 Norris and I don't care about where we are or how much money we have to spend. So long as we get to spend that time together ♥

The orange just didn't suit my personality as well. I didn't feel like myself. As much as I enjoyed it, it was too "soft" in a sense.

So from orange, to green! I just applied blue hair dye over the orange hair. I've been wearing my black extensions with them. Soon enough, I'll be redying my light pink extension to a hot pink or bubble pink and wear those instead :]

But here's a few pictures of my newish hair. I've had it since my anniversary now. Sometimes it's all green, but most times it's blue-green.

It'll make it worse in a sense that it would make her hair more damaged but it will get the job done. If you don't over process her hair, it should be okay after some deep conditioning and keeping away from heated appliances so it doesn't become too fragile and break.

If you wanted a pure blue, buy a toner next time to take the natural yellow out of bleached hair so that it doesn't turn green. To take the green out, there are other toners that a lot of blondes use to take shades of green out but I can't say what it'll do to the blue. Sometimes it's a tricky color. I'm sorry I can't offer more information!

From Pink hair to Orange hair!

I kept to the gradient cause I still really enjoy it.
I'm completely in love with my new hair color!

Before I started, for two weeks, I let my hair really fade out to this color.

To get the orange, I used these three Manic Panic colors.
Instead of getting a permanent dye, I wanted to make sure I got the right shade before experimenting since I wanted the right color for the extensions.
I used the entire jar of yellow with a little bit of red and then green to make the color darker instead of a neon orange. It only covered the extensions, so I had to get a second jar of yellow for my own hair.

I used a different brand of extensions this time because my sister and I were talking about the quality and longevity of the ones we were using compared to the Sassy extensions.
The first extensions we've ever used are these and they lasted us a very long time, except they ratted a lot and the ends didn't make it a full 18". But, I did find myself needing new extensions in only 6 months with the brand I used before. So, I'll see how long until these wear out.

It seems that the ends are more full now, but I feel as if the hair is really thin. It's not as thick as I remember it being. So I'm really disappointed with that. It looks like a natural amount of hair at least. I prefer having ridiculous thick hair though Dx

Along with the extensions, I got the Snap Clips to sew them together. I did an 8 piece system this time. One 9" piece, a 7" piece, two 6" pieces, and then four 1-1/2" pieces. Then I took my two extra blonde extensions that are also 1-1/2" and dyed them orange so that they'd fill in around my face better.

And here is the final result after they were washed and dried!

Now I'm in search for a hair color that will match closely to this so I don't have to buy three different colors. Plus, Manic Panic doesn't stay in that long. From now on, I might be experimenting here and there with different brands. Might have it a bit too dark, or too red, or too whatever some times. But I hope to find a good one soon!

I already had to recolor it and this is how it turned out. So I'm still really happy :] Ran out of yellow way too quickly though and had to use more red/green so some parts are more brown x[
However, I looove it with this turquoise makeup! I should be getting my new green contacts soon so I can't wait to see how that looks! I hope I love them x]

Being skinny. It feels like it's so important but I really don't even know why. Health-wise, I understand but I don't need to be that skinny but I still want to keep going. The mirror is my worst enemy cause I just never look small enough. I want to lose weight, but in reality, I just want to love what I see for what it is, for what I am.

Honestly, I'm losing weight to be something I know I'm not, that I know I'm not going to reach, but I keep going anyways hoping that somehow I'll transform. No matter how much weight I lose, I won't become curvy nor will my shoulders become smaller. That's just my body type. No matter how much I exercise, I know I won't have an ass like Beyonce or something. It's not my body type. My measurements won't ever be where I want them to be because naturally, it's not possible because of how my body was made. Yet, I keep going, hoping somehow it will get there.

Then I wonder to myself, where do I get these ideals from? I look at other girls, wishing I had this or that but in the end none of it matches up on one single body. Sometimes I wish I was really slender, then I'll see another girl with a really curvy body and wish I had that. I'll see a girl with a tiny body and big boobs, then I'll see a girl that's just dainty all over. I see a girl with a pear shape having a tiny waist and great hips. Another girl that's got slender legs with a gap between her legs, then a girl with shapely legs. In the end, it seems like I just don't want to be myself.

I want to be skinny, but what kind of skinny? I don't want to be a pole, but then sometimes I wish I were. I just want to be skinny but I don't want to get sick looking at myself but at this point I don't think it matters because no matter how much weight I lose or gain, I'll just be unhappy because I don't like myself. I'm always looking to change something cause I'm rarely satisfied with myself and at the same time, I don't even know myself! So I'm not getting anywhere...

I've never had much motivation to like myself for the majority of my years. This isn't me whining either. It's just a straight up fact that I wasn't encouraged to be confident or accept myself. I was left alone most of the time to deal with things myself and to take things as they were given to me in my life. So as I sat back, watching life go by, the information that went through my head was telling me I'm not good enough.

I was an A/B honor student, I would get little awards here and there in school like it was nothing, I could sing and draw impressively. In school, there was some recognition, but at home it was treated like it was just something I was supposed to be able to do. No "good job!" or "let's put this on the fridge" like other kids. I eventually started throwing away my ribbons and drawings like they were nothing of importance and I slowly became unimportant myself. I didn't try hard, I just did what I was supposed to.

I spent a lot of time by myself but I wasn't lonely because I didn't want anyone around. I didn't like anyone at a time so I wasn't concerned about wanting a boyfriend like other girls or being popular but I remember in 6th grade all these girls on my bus talking about how many boys asked them out on the first day of school and I distinctly remember in my head saying, "Is there something wrong with me?", as I acted out like it wasn't a big deal.

I didn't really think about my looks so much but it obviously consumed me down the line. It's funny how it's only after high school that I'm wondering why I don't get hit on, even before I was wearing an engagement ring. I've always felt like I wasn't pretty enough... and I wish it wasn't such an important topic to me but what little girl says "I don't know" when someone asks her if she's pretty? I was probably 6 or 7 years old at that time. I don't remember feeling ugly, but I remember not feeling pretty. And it feels SO stupid wanting to feel pretty but who doesn't want that from their own parents? I'm sure they've said it before but man, it must be quite awhile since then for me not to recall. Yet only now I'm called pretty cause I know how to do my hair and makeup and how to dress myself... Why wasn't I pretty when I dressed like a boy? I still had long hair and still looked like a girl... I don't know... I just wished that I actually loved myself cause it hurts living with a person you don't like that you can't get away from. It's funny how it's so easy to hate and reject in this world, than it is to love and accept.

Getting back on track to my sappy story, one of the reasons why I dye my hair and dress up is because it gets me attention. Like I said, I was left alone and didn't want anyone around, but when I broke out of that and wanted to turn my life around and enjoy life, I started doing things that I wanted to do like dye my hair funky colors. After that, for once, I got positive attention. I never thought about it much, but I fed off of it and it gave me more confidence to be myself.

Then it came crashing when I started wondering why boys didn't like me more than a friend. I started wondering if it was because I wasn't a natural beauty and because I was a short, late bloomer. I looked like a 12-year-old that dressed up like a kindergartner with painted hair while my sister was a tall, slender brunette with boys fawning all over her.

Norris, my husband, was the only person to ever look past what I did or didn't do with myself and believed with all his heart that I'm beautiful no matter what. You'd think with someone that wonderful that I wouldn't need anyone else's approval but feeling rejected for most of my life has given me a complex of wanting everyone to like me, and we all know, that's not gonna happen. And with the way I learned things growing up, I learned to have an "all or nothing" attitude so naturally my head is made me want to think, "If not everyone likes you, then there's something wrong with you so not a lot of people will like you, so you're not good enough and you shouldn't even try."

I try not to think that way cause I know it's silly but some days it really feels like that with the way people look at me or react towards me, but it's all in my head and how I've felt for years. Even though I've gotten better, it's nice coming home to someone who loves me entirely. It gives me strength. That's why I feel that it's really important for parents to encourage their children and to take interest in what they like in order for them to be healthier adults. No one ever comes out perfect and a lot of people have to rise out of the lowest lows to realize that there's more for them, but it's good to have a loving and supporting family or friend to keep moving forward.

This is why I support giving out positive feedback and to speak with kind words because not everyone has the strength to get through the fire alone. I'm not babying anyone either, or sheltering, cause that can hurt someone more but there are better ways of communication and expressing tough love.

As hard as we humans can come across to each other, a lot of us are really weak inside. We all have our triggers and soft spots. A lot of us wouldn't want to admit to our weaknesses or reveal them, but everyone has them and it's plainly disgusting when people go out of their way to put someone down. There's no excuse for it. Don't put your problems on another person and make it their problem. They have their own they don't know how to deal with. If you don't know how to cope with what's going on with yourself, find a hobby or a therapist to talk to cause I do believe in acting how you want to be treated. Eventually, it will come around some way at some time and you'll feel the pain of it more than the pain you already feel. Seriously, I don't understand why people won't face their problems. It just gets worse and worse along the years. Don't be so proud to ask for help! If someone does you wrong while looking for help, cut that person out of your life and keep looking. There are millions of people and there's someone that wants you to be stronger. I sure as hell want that for everyone.

I want it for me too. I want to be stronger. I want to be happy. I don't want to fall to my insecurities or my past or what this person said or did to me. I want to control my life and my actions and the words that come out of my mouth. I want to produce life in people, not death. I want to like me and enjoy living this life that was given to me.

I might not have all this right now but I'm determined to break out of it. It might take a long time but it's a worse feeling not trying at all and being stuck for the rest of my life. I just know that if I don't try, I'll eventually turn to an eating disorder or start physically hurting myself. If I don't want to see someone I love doing that to themselves, then I'm sure they wouldn't want them to see me doing it. I can hide it well, I have before, but there was a time that I was going too far and my health was deteriorating and it scared me. I don't want to go through the pain or seeing the pain on my friend's faces, and I especially don't want anyone feeling sorry for me. I know I'm stronger than that, especially now.

There are things that I want that I know I'll never get or that I'll never be, but I can't allow that thought to control my life. I don't want a picture of a beautiful girl to control my path. A picture definitely can definitely be worth a thousand words but I don't want them all to speak to me negatively. I can appreciate a beautiful person by media's standards, but I can also appreciate a beautiful person for loving how they look. I need to stop comparing what they do and don't have and just appreciating things as they are. Life would be so much simpler and happier that way.

I'd want to be skinny and curvaceous but it's pointless if I'm not happy with myself. Having this body is pointless cause I'm so unhappy with it! But I obviously have a purpose in order to have this life. Aside being here for something, I gotta see beauty in me in my own light. After all, God chose this form for me at it's best and at it's worst. There's a design to it that is beautiful. I can't wait to wholeheartedly believe it!

Outfit of the Day, New Orange Hair, and a New Layout!

Finally got the new layout up! I think it looks a lot cleaner and more fun :3 I started out with a completely different design and went a different route but I'm happy with the outcome ♥ Organized my links and whatnots too. I'll probably keep working on the first banner I did just so I can show you guys :]

And just this past Saturday, I also made another new change which is my hair! I went with the orange :D

This was under a white light, so this is a little over exposed.

This one was under a yellow light so I had to adjust the colors. And if you look at my eyebrows, I bleached them and colored them too! It looks so much cleaner and complete this way :D I'm definitely happy with how this color came out!

Here's that photoshopped one from my pink hair. It's a little more orange-red than what I got but I don't mind :] I like both shades. Maybe I'll eventually do this orange-red.

I also remembered that I got orange devil horns from a medieval faire a few years back x] It matches so well! I'm obsessed with this color now! It's so beauuutiful ♥ It makes me think of pumpkins too :3

Anywho, it's getting super warm already. This was my attempt to feel okay temperature wise but I forgot that in my area it's cool in the morning and night, but during the day it's hooooot x __x I had three layers on, so it wasn't very comfortable but it was great in the morning x]

Got this shirt cause it's loose and flowy but still a 3/4 sleeve so it'll be comfy for the summer only because I don't stay outside too long. I eventually go into a store where there's thin, cold air and I get cold easily. That's normally how it works in Florida, haha.
Next time, I'll just wear shorts with this :3 It's gonna be sooo comfy.

Yesterday, I put up all my heavy winter clothes and noticed I didn't really have very many/good summer clothes. In Florida, you wear certain clothes to survive the heat, not to be fashionable Dx So, I hope I can hunt down some good clothes this year!

Gossip Grey Circle Lens Review!

Color/Pattern - 4/5
Because my iris is fairly big, I don't get much of a halo. For me to get a halo, I have to look up and let the lens drag down, but the lens does slide on my left eye so I get a halo on the side. Otherwise, these come out dark on me but with someone with smaller irises, they would come out as it looks in the ad. So I was pretty disappointed in these the first few times I wore them but as the time passed by and the more I used them, the more I became fond of the look. It's pretty natural if it's not looked at too closely. If you wanted a very noticeable grey, then don't get this. This is dark and dolly looking.

Enlargement - 5/5
This definitely enlarges but because of the natural pattern, it doesn't feel as if it's too big to be a natural size. Still very dolly, but not scary.

Comfort - 4/5
I try to take my contacts out after 6-8 hours of wear and with these, I normally have to use eye drops at some point towards the end. My eyes dry easily with contacts though, so it could vary. Otherwise, they are comfortable. I don't feel them in my eyes.

Overall - 4/5
These are my favorite colored natural looking lens that I've owned. The only other natural colored lens that I've had are Neo Cosmo Princess Eyes Grey and Neo Cosmo Glamour Violet. The Princess Eyes Grey was smaller and the pattern was too sharp, versus the Gossip Grey which is softer which allows a sweeter look. The Glamour Violet didn't show up on my eyes, so naturally, I didn't take it to very much. At best it made my eyes a slightly lighter brown.
So, in the end, I wound up really liking these. I'm still searching for a lighter grey lens, but these will do for now for more mature, darker looks but I definitely gotta keep my eye drops handy when I wear these out.

Dolly Wink Lashes Review: #2 Sweet Girly and #8 Pure Little

I've worn these lashes out plenty of times now to say that I absolutely adore them.

At first, I didn't really like them but that was only because I was applying them wrong. I'm still practicing applying the bottom lashes since they come in pieces but I think the look afterward is worth the patience to get them done.

Dolly Wink #2 Sweet Girly

For the first few times I had problems applying these because of the way my eyelids are. I had to put the glue on differently than I normally do with my other lashes so that these would "stand up" cause they would lay flat otherwise. Because of that, I didn't like them until I figured out what I needed to do. Now these are one of my favorites to wear. They're long, but very natural.

Dolly Wink #8 Pure Little
(Bottom Lashes)

I was surprised when I took these out to try them for the first time. I didn't know they would come in small pieces. I thought that you had to cut them on your own. You definitely have to apply these with tweezers, which I hadn't done before so it was tricky, especially since the pieces are so small. I've already lost a couple x[
But I looove these a lot. My bottom lashes aren't very long or thick so these create a great natural look. But I tend to have oily skin so they come undone after a few hours so I need to check on them once in awhile to make sure they haven't fallen off. I don't wear these often because of that, but the effect they give is lovely when applied correctly.

Excuse the bottom lash that's flat. Like I said, still practicing!

They're pricey for lashes, but I would want another pair! I want to try the other styles and buy Diamond Lashes another time as well since my *DIAMOND* sister, Mina, gave me a pair and they're adorable. I'll do a review on those another time.

And my hair fell flat really quick x[ I want to get some new extensions cause these are really worn out now. I can still use them but they're just not as good anymore.

I was photoshopping my hair burgundy to get a better visual. In between, I normally mess around and do other colors like purple, red, green, teal, etc. I always manage to find a color I want more when I do this though. I wound up with this color.

Seems subconsciously, I'm not ready to give up light hair x] I haven't done this color before so I'm thinking about this color too. Not sure if it'll actually come out this shade but an orange color would definitely be interesting. I added a gradient again on the bottom with the blonde tips cause it seemed to balance better that way.

I felt the color was too overwhelming without the blonde and I also photoshopped a faded color with the extensions to see how that would look and the blonde tips would definitely help balance out my hair once it fades from the dye.

I love photoshop x] Helps me with stuff like this. Otherwise, I normally draw. Such as my outfits or hair styles I'd like to try. Oh gosh, what if the guy at the mall starts calling me Pumpkin?! Dx Hell, I like that better than Pinky x]

As a side note, I would most definitely like to wear purple and green contacts if I dye my hair this color.

I'm not this pale so I was concerned on whether or not it would look good on me but I just threw that thought out of the window x] I really like this color and I want to try it!

I'm thinking the color may come out about this shade but a little darker due to the pink. Depending on how faded the pink will be.

Compared to the other colors, the orange is really "spicy" and "feisty". I'm definitely not done with having a look of attitude with my hair. So I don't want to go back to black just yet or a subdued color.

Don't know who this guy is but it was under the Google search for orange hair xD I think he's part of a Kpop group. He looks pretty darn good with that color :D He's just about the same skin tone as me too so I have high hopes for this color if I do it!

I believe I'm almost done with my pink hair. It's been fun but I'm itching for a new color. I gotta say, this is the most attached I've been to one hair color though. I really love the gradient pink and for the longest time I didn't think it would suit me very well. I've gotten a lot of attention for it and I'm gonna miss hearing little kids' reactions to the color but I'm ready for a new look.
I'm used to changing my hair constantly so I'm really excited for my next color!

Right now I strongly favor a burgundy color.
Going back to a darker color is really appealing after having this light/bright pink.

I've used Revlon before so I may pick this one up.

Awhile back, I had a similar color in a redder hue.

From what I can tell, this girl has just about the same skin tone as me and this is exactly how I want the color to look.

This is a tad bit more red but still pretty :3

Along with the burgundy, I'm really tempted to add in yellow streaks underneath. It doesn't sound very appealing but I'd figure out how to make it work for myself. After seeing Romihi and Kanako with yellow hair, I've been wanting to put the color in mine for awhile e __e

Or maybe orange :D I couldn't find a better picture but the girl on the left has an orange chunk in her hair and it's just too cute. I think her name is Hikari Shiina.
I'd probably dye the tips orange instead of chunks or streaks.

Either way, in the end if I don't like it, I can dye over it x]

Without extensions, I want to try the styles below. They're pretty cute, especially the one in the middle. I don't fancy myself much with short hair but some days I'm in a rush and can't put my extensions in so I need a cute way of doing my hair.

With extensions, I'd love to try these styles. Particularly the top right and the bottom left. They're more suiting to my style but the top left is pretty interesting and the bottom right is cute and simple enough. The dye job is really pretty too. I'm questioning on whether I want to do something like that too.

Hopefully, I get close to the right color when I dye my hair. I'm not the best at coloring as a personal skill. I know I'll be happy with whatever color I get. Bright, dark, red, purple. At this point I'm just excited for a new look :DDD I've already gone over my items in my closet of what colors will work best and burgundy is definitely a good one.

My other choices were teal, red, brown, and another natural red color. For awhile I was really leaning towards teal but I think I'm ready to tone down my look for awhile. It's definitely interesting the kind of reactions I get with a different hair color. That goes with natural AND unnatural. With natural, more guys look at me. With unnatural, it's just kids. LOL.

Anyways, not sure when I'll be doing this. I might wait till March to hit that half year mark with pink hair, or I might do it next week xD We'll see.
